The summer session ends August 8th and the libraries will move to shortened late summer hours. We will resume normal semester hours with the beginning of the fall session on August 24th. Enjoy these last summer weekends while you can, the library will be open when the chill comes.

From August 8th – August 23nd, the following hours will be in effect for the libraries:

Monday – Friday:
Coe Library 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Geology Library & Herbarium 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
LRC 7:30 a.m. – noon and 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Saturday & Sunday: All closed

August 23rd (Sunday)
Coe Library noon – 4:30 p.m.
all others closed

Starting July 1, 2009, all UW Libraries (including Coe Library) will be closed on Saturdays.

Coe Library will be open 1-7 p.m. on Sunday.  All other branches will be closed Sundays.

This weekend schedule will remain in effect until the end of Summer Session.

Between the spring and summer sessions, the Libraries have reduced hours.

May 11-15th (Monday -Friday): Coe Library 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Reference & AV 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., all others 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

May 16-17 (Saturday & Sunday):  all branches will be closed.

The libraries have reduced hours for Spring Break this week:

Monday – Friday, Coe Library will be open 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., all others open 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. All branches will be closed on Saturday March 21st and resume regular hours on Sunday March 22nd.

Need something to take your mind off classes while you enjoy Spring Break? Stop by our popular reading display on the main level of Coe Library or the dvd collection in the basement for some fun movies and TV shows!

All UW Libraries will be closed for the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday on January 18th and 19th. The Libraries resume normal hours on Tuesday, January 20th.

All UW Libraries branches will be closed starting December 24th and will re-open January 2nd. See you in 2009!

Now that finals are all wrapped up, the libraries will be open shorter hours. Plan ahead when ordering items through Request It and enjoy the break!

December 12th – 23rd and January 2nd – 12th:

Coe Library open 8:00 – 5:30, closed weekends

Geology, Annex & LRC: open 8:00 -5:00, closed weekends

December 24th – January 1st: all University Libraries will be closed.

Patrons are encouraged to secure print library resources in advance of December 24th. Request It retrieval and scanning services will not be available while the Libraries are closed. The Prospector system will accept orders but items will not be available for check out between December 24th and January 5th.

How can it be the last week of classes already?

Coe Library and the Geology Library offer extended hours beginning December 1st to accommodate your last minute studying, writing, and printing needs.  If you need a good place for group work, you can reserve group study rooms at Coe and the Library Annex.
