Coe Library welcomes you to enjoy food and drink in the library. In fact, our Book and Bean coffee shop just added Sunday hours (yay!) and will be adding new menu items this fall like fresh-baked cookies and soups! We do need to protect our book collection, so please keep drinks in spill-proof cups throughout the building and limit snacking to levels 1, 2, 3, and 5 of the new Coe Library addition.
Book and Bean hours, Fall semester 2009:
- Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 3:00 -9:00 p.m.
The libraries are already bustling with students and instructors back from summer break. Stop by to see the new Coe Library, check out a book or a movie, or use the computer lab. Reference librarians are available to help you locate the books you need, find things in the new building, or navigate the brand-new library catalog.

Have you read a great book lately? Coe Library is hosting a “Read-In” as part of Summit 2009, the new orientation for first-year students at UW. We would love to share some personal recommendations from UW staff and faculty in special book display for the event. The book you suggest will be displayed with your name, department, and any personal remarks you share about why you loved it.
Read more about Summit here: http://www.uwyo.edu/summit/
If you have a book suggestion to share, you can comment on this post or send it to kcalkins@uwyo.edu. Thank you!
UW Libraries added a digital subscription to the Value Line Investment Survey this summer. You may now check the weekly investment information from the comfort of home rather than making a trip in to check the binder.
You can find Value Line at www-lib.uwyo.edu (don’t forget to log in through Off-campus Access first!) under Articles & Databases.
Don’t feel guilty about not studying and spending the weekend burning through sparklers and black cats. The UW Libraries (all branches, including Coe) will be closed Friday July 3rd and Saturday July 4th.
On Sunday we switch to our new summer hours, with Coe Library open from 1-7 p.m. and all other branches closed.
Questions? Just ask us!

Do you love the convenience of electronic books but miss the look and feel of old dusty books from the library? Now there’s an aftermarket solution to bring back that library smell at the comfort of your computer.

The day has arrived… Prospector, the catalog of Colorado libraries that share borrowing privileges with UW, is off-line until we have fully implemented our new library catalog. Remember, you can still order books, movies and music this summer via Request It.
Prospector is temporarily unavailable until we go live on the new system, August 4th.
All outstanding requests for Prospector items have been cancelled, but can be re-requested through Prospector on August 4th, or through Request It immediately. All Prospector items currently checked out and eligible for renewal may be extended for the one 3 week renewal period.
Please renew or return Prospector items on or before their due dates to make the transition as smooth as possible.
