Coe Library Inside and Out: Construction Changes from Spring to Fall Semester

Outside Coe Library, the progress of the new addition on the east side of the building continues with a majority of brick veneer and windows installed. In addition, 13th Street in front of Coe Library has been divided and landscaped with rocks and trees.

Inside Coe Library, renovation work is completed on Levels 5 and 6. Patrons can now find updated quiet study space on Level 5. Level 6 has become the new home of the Libraries’ Systems and Technical Services departments and is not open to the public. Sections of Levels 3 and 4 are currently under renovation. ECTL and other tenants have been relocated in the Engineering building until that work is completed in 2009.

Finally, behind the scenes more than 9 miles of bound periodicals were moved to the Library Annex, and over 60 library personnel relocated to new or temporary offices.

As the construction project continues, so does the process of change. Continue to visit us online and receive Coe Library Addition and Renovation information.
