Fire Alarm Testing

The electricians and fire alarm system contractors are installing wiring and downloading the programming that will operate the fire alarm system for our expanded and renovated building. Today (Thursday, February 26, 2009) there MIGHT be an occasional beep, and the strobe lights may blink, but we hope that won’t occur.

On Monday, March 2, at 8 a.m., Rick Jensen from the Laramie Fire Dept. will be here to witness the formal fire alarm test. There WILL be noise from the system during this test, but the audible alarms should be shut off fairly quickly. The strobe lights will continue to flash, perhaps until 8:30 or even longer, depending on how the test goes.

If there is a need for an actual evacuation of the building, we will have it announced over the public address system and some of us will run around the building, notifying people if they can’t hear the announcement.
