Issues and Concerns About Indoor Construction Conditions

Construction Conditions in Coe Library:

University Libraries will keep patrons informed about construction conditions including painting, installation of carpet, noise, and other items of concern. The libraries will post signs on the front doors of Coe Library and alert the University Disability Support Services so they can notify their clients. You may also check this Webpage for Construction Condition Updates.

Demolition and construction is expected to increase the amount of dust in Coe Library in spite of the contractors’ best efforts to control it. Since dust is a standard Laramie condition, we will not post notices. Patrons sensitive to dust will want to use Request It for access to materials and Ask a Librarian for reference assistance.

Alternative Access to Coe Library Collections:

UW-affiliated patrons with limited physical access to the collections at Coe Library may utilize Request It, a materials retrieval service. UW-affiliated patrons may set up a Request It account using their WyoWeb username and password. Requested journal articles will be provided as electronic files in PDF format. Physical volumes will be retrieved and relocated to a non-Coe library branch of the patron’s choice.

Alternative Access to Reference Services:

Reference assistance is available via phone (307-766-2070), email (CoeRef@uwyo.edu), and instant messaging as detailed on our Ask a Librarian page.
